More Vegas Baby!


Our first dinner was at N9ne Steakhouse at The Palms.  



A good steak begs for a good bottle of bold red wine- in this case a Napa Zinfandel.

Our collection of side dishes.  Grilled asparagus with lemon and extra virgin olive oil, roasted seasonal mushrooms with caramelized oninons, potato gnocci with truffle cream (the best gnocci in the world!), and good ole' macaroni and cheese.

The next day, after my cousin upgraded to a top floor corner suite, we thought it necessary to throw a pre-dinner cocktail party.







And then it was off to Nobu.  NOBU!!  My favorite.  I feel compelled to point out that this is the third Nobu mention on my blog.

The Signature dish- Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalepeno and Cilantro.  Culinary perfection.

New Style Salmon Sashimi- they drizzle hot sesame oil over the salmon, which micro-cooks it.  This dish was so tempting that my cousin's wife had to taste it, and she doesn't eat fish.  The verdict?  She loved it!  Another Nobu convert for the record books.  

Tiradito Nobu Style- whitefish with black sea salt and a drop of chili paste.


Tuna fish tacos- Fried wontons stuffed with tuna tartare, avocado and sour cream.  OMG, these were absolutely delicious!!

Nobu Strawberry Shortcake- Pan toasted shortcake, sauteed shiso strawberries and tofu ice cream.  


Flourless chocolate cake with a white chocolate sauce, shiso syrup and green tea ice cream


We wrapped up the night with bottle Service at Club XS at the Encore.  Vegas baby!!
