I bought a grill!

Buying a grill has opened the door to many possibilities. I can now cook outside! This may not be much of a surprise for most of you, but its definitely a novelty for me. Contrary to my meat-and-potatoes-only-boyfriend, you can cook vegetables too! Here is my first attempt at grilling artichokes, and I must admit they came out very well.

We also made turkey burgers with avocado and sliders. Check em out!

And we can't forget the steak!

The Beginning

The best place to start is at the beginning.  


Here's what happened so far......

I must start with my all time favorite dish at my all time favorite restaurant. Nobu. Preferrably in Vegas, but any of their locations will do. It is their signature dish, and its the first thing I order when I'm there. I highly suggest it. In fact, it would be a crime to go there and not sample it.

With that out of the way, I can tell you a little more about my food life. I often joke that my whole life revolves around food. It is my career (I am a Registered Dietitian working as a Food Service Director in a hospital), it is my hobby, and it is my social activity.

I am a foodie.

I love good food.

I love eating.

I also love entertaining.  There's no such thing as a "just a snack" at my place.  If you come, come hungry!
