For the 4th of July we decided to drive down the California Coast. We ended up just outside San Luis Obispo (or SLO as the locals call it), and spent our days on Avila Beach.
Like any good surf town, there was a boardwalk full of restaurants, bars and candy shops. And don't forget happy hour overlooking the bluffs.

Avila Beach and the boardwalk look so inviting. The candy is a riot of color and the fresh produce is so amazing.
