Wicked Fun at Disney

Wicked fun!  That's the tag line at Disneyland during Halloween.   Its the time of year when the villains, evil stepmothers, and monsters get to rule the park and they certainly took advantage.   They literally painted the town orange, and the park is smothered in pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. We ran around among the costumed children (and adults) to catch a thrill on the rides, be entertained by the shows and of course taste the treats.  And indeed, it was wicked fun.

Pumpkins were in every nook and cranny.

Sleeping Beauty's castle already has a sprinkling of snow on it.

The haunted house gets transformed from the traditional theme to Nightmare before Christmas.

Candy apples decorated for the holiday.  Don't eat any apples that are offered to you by a witch!

There are adorable shops filled with Disney themed treats.

In a far corner of Frontierland, we stumbled upon a pumpkin carving exhibition.  The talent and skills were impressive beyond anything I've previously seen.

The artists at work.  They are actually sculptors by trade and according to them,  carving pumpkins is just like carving in any other medium.  But does soap stone allow you to roast pumpkin seeds??

Disney at night is a magical sight.

Hope your Halloween was wicked fun too.  Boo!!
